Facing the complicated situation of Covid-19, Vietbank transactions will switch to online or limit contact to ensure safety for themselves, their families and the community.
Recently, Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank) has successfully implemented CHIP / EMV cards, launched contactless payment via Contactless technology for domestic and international cardholders including customers. issuing cards of Vietbank and customers paying at ATMs and POS of Vietbank.

With contactless payment technology, helping users save time, simply place, glide or lightly wave the card on the POS machine to pay, no need to swipe the card, enter the PIN as the traditional way.

Comment on the convenience when customers use contactless payment methods, TS. Nguyen Tri Hieu – economist said that this is a new payment solution, effective and safe, highly secure when users only need to place it near the POS to be able to pay. This eliminates the possibility of information being stolen on the front and back of the card, leading to card counterfeiting.

In addition to developing contactless payment technology, Vietbank has also increased the convenience experience as well as increased security features for customers. At the same time, enhancing the expansion of products and services, developing and expanding the ecosystem on Vietbank Digital (Mobile Banking and Internet banking versions) and free of all registration fees, annual fees, account management fees and reducing interbank transfer fee from VND 11,000 to VND 2,200 for a successful transaction on Vietbank Digital, applied for transactions of less than VND 2 million. The program started to deploy on April 1, 2020.
